Professional Bio
I'm an IT professional searching for the next step in my career. I've worked in the education, agriculture, and the IT industries at various stages.
I started out as a programmer analyst in the education arena working for the community college I graduated from. I worked on several projects involving all facets of the college including payroll, admissions, registration, and state reporting.
I moved into the agriculture industry as a programmer analyst working on several platforms. During that time I worked on custom personal computer applications and was given to opportunity to become the desktop support leader for the company. That position grew into installing and supporting several Novell servers for the headquarters, productions facilities, and sales offices at multiple locations though-out the US. I became a Novell Netware Certified Engineer (CNE) and a Lotus Notes Domino e-mail and database administrator which included training company employees, administrators and sales staff.
I had the opportunity to work for IBM as a contractor helping startup a problem reporting support structure used for managing a large Lotus Domino based website application. I was hired soon after as a regular employee and transferred to the Lotus Domino application and content integration team as an administrator. We more than 10 upgrades to Lotus Domino and custom applications written for the Business Partners web site on Windows and AIX partitioned servers.
My last assignment was as an Associate Technical Solutions Architect. I provided high-level technical solution documents used by Systems Administrators, Applications teams, Network Engineers, and Project Managers to install and/or upgrade data center infrastructures for commercial customers in the travel industry.
I continually challenge myself by learning either new software packages, creating websites, like I’m doing here, with Adobe Dreamweaver.
I am looking for an opportunity to work a company who needs an experienced individual with a solid background in technology who knows how to "walk the talk", but one who knows how to talk to and train those who don't.
